What does the flag of Cambodia mean?
Cambodia's flag sets a white depiction of Angkor Wat on a central red band between two blue bands, in red and blue that are traditionally the colours of Cambodia. In the recorded reading, the blue stands for liberty, cooperation and brotherhood and is associated with the king, the red for bravery and the nation, and the white temple for integrity, justice and heritage, representing religion. The design was first adopted in 1948 and readopted on 24 September 1993, when the monarchy was restored. Cambodia is one of only four countries in the world with a building on its national flag, alongside Portugal, San Marino and Spain.
