Flags by colour

Find national flags by the colours they contain, measured from the official flag images rather than judged by eye. Red is the most common, appearing on more flags than any other colour.

Colours are computed from each official flag image, the same data behind the colour filter on the home page: a colour counts when it covers at least 7 percent of the flag’s opaque area. See the method.
