These terms cover your use of Flagdex and its free JSON API. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The service
Flagdex is a free reference for country flags, capitals, currencies, calling codes and ISO codes, plus a printable poster and a static JSON API. Pages are static and run in your browser; there is no account, no login and no purchase required.
Acceptable use
Use the site and the API for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it in a way that degrades it for other visitors, or misrepresent the data as your own original research. The underlying datasets are openly licensed as described on the data page; if you reuse them, follow the licence terms and attribution stated there.
No warranty on the data
Country facts change over time and sources occasionally disagree or lag behind events. We cite our sources and keep the dataset up to date on a regular basis, but Flagdex is provided “as is” without any guarantee that every figure is current or error-free. For anything official, legal or safety-critical, verify against the primary source before relying on it.
Advertising
Flagdex may display advertising from third-party networks, such as Google AdSense or Ezoic, to help support the cost of running the site. Ads are served by those networks and are subject to their own terms. See the privacy policy for how ads and any related cookies work.
Third-party links
Some pages link out to other sites and tools, including other sites in our network. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flagdex and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on the data it presents.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes, for example when advertising or analytics are added. Changes take effect once posted here, with the date above updated.
