What does the flag of Armenia mean?
Armenia is one of the countries whose flag symbolism is fixed in statute. The 2006 law on the National Flag defines red as the Armenian Highland, the Armenian people's continued struggle for survival, the maintenance of the Christian faith, and Armenia's independence and freedom; blue as the will of the Armenian people to live beneath peaceful skies; and orange as their creative talent and hard-working nature. The tricolour was adopted by the Armenian Supreme Soviet on 24 August 1990, restoring the flag first used by the First Republic of Armenia between 1918 and 1920.
