About the Asia flag quiz
Asia has 46 sovereign states with a capital, and this quiz asks for every one of their flags, the same set as the printable Asia flag quiz. Play 10 or 25 at a time, or all 46 at once. Lookalikes starts switched on, so the three wrong options are Asian flags that share the layout and much of the colour of the right one, and a quick glance is rarely enough to tell them apart.
Measured from the flag files, 18 of the 46 Asian flags have horizontal stripes, 5 have vertical stripes and 23 have some other design. Red appears in 37 of them, white in 28 and green in 18.
Grouped by that data, these are the flags most likely to be confused, and the quiz offers them against each other:
- Four flags with a red design other than plain stripes: China, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Vietnam.
- Three flags with a red and green design other than plain stripes: Bangladesh, Maldives and Turkmenistan.
- Three flags with horizontal stripes in red and blue: Cambodia, North Korea and Thailand.
- Three flags with horizontal stripes in red, green and white: Iran, Lebanon and Tajikistan.
Switch on Territories to add four more flags: Hong Kong, Macau, Palestine and Taiwan.
For the classroom, print the Asia flag worksheet with its answer key, or widen the field to every country in the flag quiz. The colour and layout method explains how flags are grouped.
